Getting around in Ohrid
Although the city is relatively small and can be walked, renting a scooter in Ohrid is an easy way to zip around town and make sure you see all the sights within the short timeframe that you might have.
In addition, having transport means you can venture further and visit other cool places like Sveti Stefan, St. Naum Monastery, and the Bay of Bones.
Also around Ohrid are lovely, quaint villages like Velestovo, Vevchani, Struga, Peshtani, and Konjsko, all within a 30 minute ride.
These lakeside and mountain villages are totally worth checking out to get an authentic picture of what the area is all about.
And if you’re an avid hiker, many trails in Galicica National Park start from Velestovo, and you’re going to need a scooter to get up there!
